
Partner Identification: Leverage existing industry networks to identify and target potential partners (Big Pharma or Biotech) in North America that align with the company’s pipeline assets or finished products.
Deal Execution: Lead the entire license-out process, including pitching/roadshows, Term Sheet negotiations, managing Due Diligence inquiries, and finalizing Licensing Agreements.
Valuation & Structuring: Construct product valuation models and negotiate deal structures to maximize Upfront Payments and optimize Milestone frameworks.
Alliance Management: Maintain post-signing relationships with partners to ensure the timely receipt of milestone payments and smooth project progression.
Experience: 5+ years of BD experience in the North American pharmaceutical industry. Must have a proven track record of successful License-out transactions (candidate must provide a Deal Sheet).
Network: Possess direct access to decision-makers (Heads of BD/Licensing) at major North American pharmaceutical companies.
Legal & Professional Skills: Native-level English proficiency with US work authorization (Citizen/Green Card). Strong understanding of US business laws and licensing contract terms.
Technical Background: Academic background in Biology, Pharmacy, or related fields; able to independently present technical highlights to external scientists and executives.

Target Local Manufacturers: Directly approach and partner with local pharmaceutical factories in West Africa. (Goal: Sell our finished products/intermediates to them or use their channels to distribute).
Leverage "Guanxi" (Connections): Utilize personal, family, or business connections to secure government tenders or bypass entry barriers in less developed markets.
Flexible Market Entry: Identify and execute sales strategies suitable for unregulated or semi-regulated markets. We are open to indirect sales channels or "grey market" opportunities if they generate volume.
Problem Solving: Handle local regulatory hurdles, customs clearance, and logistics challenges through local influence rather than just standard paperwork.
Deep Local Resources (The #1 Priority): Must have existing, direct relationships with:
1. Owners/Purchasing Directors of local Pharma Factories in West Africa.
2. Key decision-makers in MOH (Ministry of Health) or Tender Boards.
3. Major local importers/wholesalers.
"Street Smart": Not looking for a corporate manager. We need a "Fixer" who knows how business is actually done in West Africa (handling cash flow, navigating bureaucracy, leveraging indirect relationships).
Region: Must be based in (or have frequent access to) Nigeria, Ghana, or Francophone West Africa.
Background: No specific degree required. We prefer candidates with a background in Trading, Import/Export, or Government Liaison. Lebanese, Indian, Chinese, or influential Locals are all welcome.
